INUSPHERESIS® (Therapeutic Plasma Filtration)

INUSPHERESIS®

Overview

Inuspheresis® is a form of therapeutic plasma filtration (apheresis) performed under medical supervision.
It involves circulating blood through an extracorporeal system where plasma is separated and passed through specialised filters before being returned to the body.

This service is offered as an adjunctive, supportive therapy and is not a replacement for standard medical care.

What is Therapeutic Apheresis?

Therapeutic apheresis is a medical process used to selectively separate components of blood.
In plasma filtration techniques such as Inuspheresis®, plasma is processed through filters designed to reduce certain circulating substances before reinfusion.

Who May Explore This Therapy

Some patients may choose to explore therapeutic plasma filtration as part of a broader care plan, particularly where there is ongoing medical supervision.

This may include individuals who:

  • are seeking adjunctive support alongside standard care
  • have been advised to consider advanced extracorporeal therapies
  • are engaged in integrative or multidisciplinary care pathways

Suitability is individual and requires medical assessment.
We do not offer this therapy as a standalone treatment for any specific disease.

Treatment Process

  • Initial medical consultation and screening
  • Review of relevant blood tests and medical history
  • Vascular access assessment
  • Procedure typically performed over several hours under clinical supervision
  • Monitoring throughout treatment

Safety and Considerations

As with any medical procedure, therapeutic plasma filtration carries potential risks. These may include:

  • bruising, discomfort, or bleeding at IV access sites
  • temporary changes in blood pressure
  • dizziness or fatigue
  • electrolyte or fluid shifts
  • allergic or anticoagulant-related reactions
  • rare complications associated with extracorporeal circulation

All patients undergo pre-treatment assessment and informed consent prior to proceeding.

Our Clinical Approach

We provide this service within a medical framework, which may include:

  • coordination with your treating doctor or specialist
  • integration with other supportive therapies where appropriate
  • ongoing clinical monitoring

Our focus is on safe delivery, appropriate patient selection, and clear communication of risks and uncertainties.

Important Information

  • This therapy is not a cure and not a substitute for conventional medical treatment
